Tuesday Tech Question presented by Evans Coolant

For the 2017 NHRA Drag Racing season, I am changing my Top Dragster over to a dry sump oil system.  I am getting ready to fit the appropriate oil lines.  I heard that these lines have to be tested.  Could you please explain?

Answer:

Section 6A page 2 of the 2016 NHRA Rulebook reads "all flexible-pressure oil line, excluding return lines and any line30psi or lower in pressure, must pass a minimum 300 psi test for 30 seconds with no indications of separation, weeping, leaking, etc.
