Statement of Action Against Randy Cruickshank and Tex Miller

The NHRA has imposed disciplinary action against Randy Cruickshank and Tex Miller.

Randy Cruickshank was involved in two incidents.  In the first incident Randy was stopped by security officials for excessive speed, alcohol and reckless behavior.  In the second incident, the operator of a pit vehicle assigned to Randy was disrespectful to security officials.  These two incidents are a direct violation of NHRA Rules, particularly Section 1.3.1 Participant conduct of the 2018 NHRA Rulebook and NHRA’s Auxiliary Pit Vehicle Policy.  As a result, a monetary fine of $1,500 has been imposed and Randy has been suspended from NHRA racing and NHRA member track events till January 1, 2019.

Tex Miller was involved in an incident where he acted in a dangerous and threatening manner towards a fellow racer.  During qualifying, Tex drove his car in front of a fellow competitor in the shutdown then verbally threatened his fellow competitor.  These actions are a direct violation of NHRA Rules, particularly Section 1.3.1 Participant conduct of the 2018 NHRA Rulebook.  As a result, Tex has been suspended from NHRA racing and NHRA member track events till January 1, 2019.

Each can appeal the decision, per the 2018 NHRA Rulebook.
