Atlanta Dragway Facilities & Operations Supervisor Full Time Position

Join our team as the Facilities & Operations Supervisor, working alongside the Atlanta Dragway Business and Operations staff, as we prepare for an exciting 2019 season.

At Atlanta Dragway, we host over 80 days of track activity at our famous ¼ mile drag strip.  This year’s schedule includes popular events such as the NMRA/NMCA event, the Night of Fire, and the NHRA Southern Nationals, as well as many other exciting events. Our schedule continues to grow and we are looking forward to having a Facilities & Operations Supervisor join our team to oversee, coordinate and supervise all aspects of the day-to-day facility and race operations as we prepare for the 2019 season. 

Atlanta Dragway is located at 500 E. Ridgeway Rd. Commerce, GA 30529

Office hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5p.m.  Due to the nature of our schedule and track activity, the Facilities & Operations Supervisor must be able to work event weekends and holidays throughout the entire event schedule.

Essential Functions:

- Performs all essential functions of the Atlanta Dragway Facility & Operations Supervisor role:

--Hires, schedules and supervises seasonal and event employees, focused on facility and racing operations
--Makes recommendations for developing, budgeting and implementing physical improvements/repairs, capital purchases, track rentals, racing and promotional programs.
--Implement and execute maintenance schedules for the facility and equipment
--Supervises and coordinates all activity relating to event preparation and teardown.
--Ensures the high standards of safety are developed, met and maintained at the facility.
--Ensures the maintenance of a manicured and secured facility at all times.
--E
nsures that Atlanta Dragway continues to maintain a positive image in the racing community.
--Greets and assists all guests at the track, giving great service and going the extra mile every time

-Maintains a high degree of accuracy, timeliness and consistency in all work

Success Patterns:

-At least two-years of post-high school education (College, Technical School, Vocational Training)
-Experience in coordinating all aspects of motorsports events
-Strong working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance tasks
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
-Prior supervision experience.
-Able to provide great service with enthusiasm & energy throughout a work day/event.
-Able to work a flexible schedule including long work days, nights, weekends & holidays
-Ability to work under time constraints
-Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
-Must be flexible with mean and rest periods
-Willing to work in outdoors in warm/cold temperatures for 12-14 hours as needed in a work day involving sitting, standing, walking, bending, pushing, or lifting as required.
