Horsepower adjustments following the NHRA DIVISION 2 LODRS event in Gainesville, FL

3/9/2020

As the result of runs under the Automatic Horsepower Factoring System (AHFS) 1.20-second under policy at the NHRA Division 4 event, the following changes have been made.

 

The horsepower rating for 16-20 Chevrolet COPO, entries with the 427 cubic inch engine and a factory rating of 470 currently rated at 470, has been increased by sixteen horsepower, to 486 horsepower; for Super Stock Eliminator.

 

The horsepower rating for 1985 Ford Mustang, entries with the 302 cubic inch engine and a factory rating of 210 currently rated at 208, has been increased by seven horsepower, to 215 horsepower; for Stock Eliminator.

 

The horsepower rating for 2010 Ford Cobra Jet, entries with the 352 cubic inch engine and a factory rating of 285 currently rated at 303, has been increased by nineteen horsepower, to 322 horsepower; for Stock Eliminator.

 

NHRA's 2020 Automatic Horsepower Factoring System outlines that any run of 1.20-seconds or more under the index will receive an immediate index decrease or horsepower increase. These changes are effective March 9, 2020.
