NHRA Announces Changes to Class Guide

As a result of the twenty horsepower added to the 2010 Ford Cobra Jet (automatic only) 330 cubic inch 435/490 in Stock Eliminator, the combination is no longer eligible for Stock Eliminator. This is due to the combination now required to carry 565 pounds of ballast. Per the 2011 NHRA Rulebook Section 20 page 16-17 it reads in-part “Maximum amount of removable and/or permanent ballast, unless otherwise stated under Class Requirements is 500 pounds.”
