The 2021 NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series season concluded last weekend at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, finalizing the season’s regional and divisional champs and also helping crown seven of the nine Lucas Oil world champs to date.

NHRA extends its heartiest congratulations to the eight regional and 60 division champions on their amazing seasons and eagerly awaiting the outcome of the world championships battles between Joe Santangelo II, Jerry Emmons, and Todd hoven in Stock and Christopher Dodd and Devin Isenhower in Super Comp, whose championships will be decided at this weekend’s Auto Club NHRA Finals.

This season provided some of the closest in history as there were multiple single-point championships across the divisions and three times for titles that had to be worked out with the tiebreaker system. In all, there were more than 100 ties to figure among Top 10 finishers across all seven divisions.

A special congratulations to Scott Burton, who won Division 5 championships in both Super Stock and Stock, the lone competitor to achieve that remarkable feat this season.

Lucas Oil world, regional, and divisional champions will be recognized and presented awards at their home division awards presentations beginning in January. Each division is working on the details of these events, so stay tuned to divisional social media channels for dates/locations.

These presentations will allows racers to celebrate and be recognized in front of friends, family, and peers. These events will look different than in the past and the NHRA staffs are looking forward to taking these opportunities to recognize these hard-fought championships.

Thanks also to the thousands of competitors and 40-plus tracks who supported this series all year, and we look forward to seeing you all very soon.
