NHRA Adjusts Weights in Pro Stock Motorcycle
Following a review of recent performances in the Pro Stock Motorcycle category, NHRA announced today that the minimum weight for NHRA-accepted American pushrod V-Twin 160-cid combinations will decrease 10 pounds, from 625 pounds to 615 pounds. The adjustment is part of NHRA’s ongoing efforts at maintaining competition and parity within the category. The change becomes effective Sept. 16, 2010, at the O’Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Nationals in Charlotte, which is the next stop on the Full Throttle Drag Racing Series for Pro Stock Motorcycles. Harley-Davidson 160-cid 4-valve will remain at 640 pounds, and Suzuki 107-cid 2-valve will remain at 595 pounds.
