Reminder on aluminum center sections

The NHRA Technical Department wants to remind Stock eliminator competitors that the use of aluminum center sections is prohibited.

The 2011 NHRA Rulebook, section 10A, page 6, reads in part, “Original rear end may be replaced with another from the same automobile manufacturer."

The use of aluminum center sections in any vehicle (other than special production runs where the manufacturer supplied the vehicle with aluminum center sections) is in violation of the NHRA Rulebook. Competitors with aluminum center sections (other than special production runs where the manufacturer supplied the vehicle with aluminum center sections) must bring their vehicle into full compliance with NHRA rules and regulations prior to their next event.
