I have a 1974 Chevrolet Camaro that I plan to compete with in the NHRA Super Street class.  Am I required to install a parachute before I am allowed to race?

Your answer can be found in the 2013 NHRA Rulebook, Section 7, page 3, Parachute.  This section says that parachutes are, “Mandatory on any car that runs 150 mph or faster.”
