Tuesday Tech Question

Question:

In the new 2014 Rulebook for the Summit Racing Equipment Jr. Drag Racing League I see that a rule has been added concerning the body side panels.  Are “windows” in the side panels an acceptable solution?

Side Panel Scott

Answer:

Side Panel Scott,

The new rule states that, “Any portion of the body side panels that extend upward into the driver’s line of sight must be clear and permit an unobstructed horizontal view for a minimum of 180 degrees.”  For further clarification to this rule, please refer to the guidelines posted on NHRARacer.com.
