The NHRA Summit Jr. Drag Racing League’s Western and Eastern Conference Finals kick off in less than two months at Rocky Mountain Raceways, July 10-12, for the WCF followed by the ECF two weeks later at Bristol Dragway, July 24-26.
Both tracks have a full slate of activities planned with Rocky Mountain Raceways and Lucas Oil hosting the Free Lucas Oil Slick Mist Products Test and Tune event on Tuesday, July 8, from 2-8 p.m. to begin the JDRL Western Conference Finals. Lucas Oil Slick Mist will also sponsor the Index Madness on Wednesday beginning at 10 a.m. Time trials for the NHRA Jr. Drag Racing League Western Conference Finals get underway on Thursday at 9 a.m.
Thursday and Friday’s WCF time trials will be followed by more “fun races” with an age-group race on Thursday evening followed by the Win a Dragster or Engine Fun Race on Friday evening for all competitors. Yes, one lucky racer will win a jr. dragster rolling chassis and another will win a jr. dragster motor on Friday night. Western Conference Finals eliminations begin on Saturday morning.
Bristol Dragway gets the Eastern Conference Finals week in motion with a test and tune on Monday along with a 330’ outlaw race. A pair of Huddleston Performance Fun Races is slated for Tuesday and Wednesday with the 13-17 year olds taking the track on Tuesday and the 8-12 year olds on Wednesday. The ECF kick into gear on Thursday with time trials and round 1 of eliminations on Friday afternoon.
Prior to the ECF week, the track will host the Huddleston Performance Jr. Dragster nationals presented by Mike Bos Chassis Craft, July 18-20. Registration and tech are set for Friday with an Index race on Saturday and a bracket event on Sunday.
Additional entry fees are required for fun races.
