Tuesday Tech Question

Dear NHRA Tech Department,

I am building a super comp/ top dragster over the winter break. I was looking into different types of tubing material and I was interested in Docol R8 Tubing. Is Docol R8 Tubing legal material to build my dragster?

Docol Tubing Dan

Tuesday Tech Question Answer

Docol Tubing Dan,

You are allowed to use Docol R8 tubing to build a super comp/ top dragster chassis. It is allowed for any SFI spec, when using the R8 tubing you must follow 4130 specs for the correct thickness.

Thank you,

NHRA Tech Department
