Tuesday Tech Question presented by Evans Coolant

I purchased a complete rolling 23-T altered chassis that I’m going to put a very mild 350 Chevy into and run at my local NHRA Track.  If I run in the mid 10 second range what chassis rules will I need to follow?

Answer:

General Regulations section 20 page 26 of the 2016 NHRA Rulebook  shows an illustration for a 10 second and slower 1/4-mile (6.40 1/8-mile) chassis and the chart at the bottom lists the minimum tubing O.D. and wall thickness for mild steel or chromoly.
