Beginning at the Circle K NHRA Winternationals, improvements will be implemented for participants attending NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series events.  These changes are designed to improve the onsite experience by reducing the amount of time participants will need to wait in line, and address concerns brought to NHRA from the competitors.

Improved processes for event credentials, parking, and pre-event tech inspection will be implemented.  We’re very happy to announce that the issues many have faced redeeming/printing credentials in advance of the event have been fixed. It will be easier to access credential accounts, add names and redeem/purchase more credentials. 

Improving the Tech process, participants will no longer have to wait in line for pre-event tech inspection.  NHRA tech officials will now perform inspections in the staging lanes, at the scales, and at fuel check during the weekend.  Additionally, the tech department will perform further detailed inspections in competitor’s pit areas throughout the event. 

Because less time will be required on site, stacking and parking will be moved one day later for each national event.  For example, at three day events stacking will begin on Wednesday and parking will begin on Thursday.  Hours will be extended for each national event to provide additional time for parking.  Schedules posted on NHRARacer.com will include when stacking and parking will begin.

We have received a lot of input on how to provide a better on site experience for the sportsman racers and we believe these changes help address most of those concerns,” said NHRA vice president of racing administration Josh Peterson. “In today’s environment, airlines, hotels, restaurants, and others wanting to best serve their customers have adopted programs like these to improve the overall customer experience.  These changes are similar to what many of our racers experience outside an NHRA national event.  We think the improved experience will benefit everyone.”
