NHRA Tech Department makes changes to the engine blue print specifications

April 16, 2018

The NHRA Technical Department recently made changes to the blueprint specifications.

This change is in regards to the use of the Mopar Performance 3549884 (LD340) intake manifold for the 1968 thru 1970 Mopar Stock engines. On April 16th, 2018 the NHRA Tech Dept. deleted this part from the Blueprint specs. This was done following extensive research and review of our files from the manufacturer. This part was not an OEM part and was a dealer replacement. Per the NHRA rule book equipment other than factory installed is prohibited. In view of the fact that some, racers have spent time and money to purchase and develop these parts we are going to allow this part to be used for the remainder of the year. On January 1st, 2019 this part will no longer be permitted.
