NHRA LAUNCHES NEW PRE-EVENT CONTINGENCY PROGRAM

NHRA LAUNCHES NEW PRE-EVENT CONTINGENCY PROGRAM

NHRA is introducing a new pre-event contingency program for national events where racers can go into the NHRA Racer Registration site and fill out their contingency verification sheet prior to competing at a national event. The program is designed to streamline the contingency verification process at the end of the event on Sunday making the process quicker, easier and more efficient for both the racer and the tech department.

At any time prior to a national event, racers can log on to the racer registration site as they normally would to enter an event. Once in the system, they will click on the “Contingency” link at the top of the page, choose the Mello Yello series and their class. This program is only available for national events at this time.

A blank contingency sheet will open for that class. Racers will complete the form as usual, selecting the products and sponsors that they use, then click “submit” at the bottom when finished. This will create a “master” verification sheet that can be used for the entire season, however, a racer can go in and update it at any time.

A separate master sheet must be completed for each category in which a racer competes. For example, if a racer runs in SC and TD, they need to complete a sheet for each class.

It is not mandatory to participate in this program in order to enter a national event, but all racers are encouraged to set up a master contingency sheet for each of their respective classes.

Step 1  -  Racer registration racer page – click the contingency button at the top

Step 2  -  Series and year will be prepopulated – Hit Submit

Step 3  -  Select class from dropdown and hit submit

Step 4  -  Blank sheet – select the products and sponsors that you use on your race vehicle

Step 5  -  Confirmation
