NHRA officials announced today for the 2020 season the SAMTECH.EDU NHRA Factory Stock Showdown category will change how competitors are paired for eliminations.  In addition, officials announced Factory Stock Showdown will be contested 4-wide during at the NGK Spark Plugs NHRA Four-Wide Nationals.

The new ladder structure will now be consistent with other heads up categories contested.  The new pairing structure will now pair #1 vs #16, #2 vs #15, #3 vs #14, #4 vs #13, #5 vs #12, #6 vs #11, #7 vs #10 and #8 vs #9. 

At the NGK Spark Plugs NHRA Four-Wide Nationals the SAMTECH.edu NHRA Factory Stock Showdown category will be contested 4-wide during qualifying and eliminations.  The 4-wide structure is consistent with other heads up categories during the event.  Qualifying will be expanded to 4 sessions and all 3 rounds of eliminations will be contested on Sunday.
