Dear Racers:

Happy New Year!  I want to take time to thank those that participated in the A/Fuel TAFC open comments via email to the A/FuelTAFC@NHRA.com email address.  We appreciate those who took time to communicate their thoughts regarding A/Fuel in TAFC.  The TAFC Rules Committee members, as well as many other NHRA Tech Department staff members read your comments.  Many of which were very thought out and well compiled. 

After careful review and consideration, as well as many hours of discussion regarding the many comments, the NHRA TAFC Rules Committee posted an unfavorable vote and has elected to table this concept.  A/Fuel TAFC will not be a classification within TAFC at this time.   

Again, we thank those that articulately conveyed their thoughts and assisted our Rules Committee members in a very productive manner.  We look forward to seeing all of our TAFC competitors at the track in the very near future, as we start our Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series in just a few short days.  Until then, take care and be safe!
