The NHRA Pacific Division announced today that the upcoming Pacific National Open Series events at both Sacramento Raceway (June 5-6) and Top Gun Dragstrip (June 12-13) will now become double headers for all classes contested.
Pacific Division Director Mike Rice stated “We realize that the recent changes to the D7 schedule will have a huge impact on the racers in the Northern areas of the division in gathering grade points. We are expanding these two National Open events to help make up for this deficit in events and help those racers acquire grade points for use later in the season and beyond. Thank you to both Sacramento and Top Gun for their willingness to adapt at this late notice and we look forward to these two events.”
For those that have already purchased online for the Sacramento event, the second entry may be purchased online beginning May 20 or upon arrival to the facility. All sales for the Top Gun event will be handled at the gate.
Both events will feature the Pacific Division Jr Championship Series as well as Top Comp, SS/Stock Combo, Super Comp, Super Gas and Super Street competition. In addition, the Top Gun event will also play host to the tracks Summit Et Racing Series categories of Super Pro, Pro, Sportsman and Motorcycle. Schedules for each event will be posted in the next few days.
