NHRA would like to remind competitors to refrain from touching vehicles during the staging process.
All pre-race crew procedures must be finalized before the vehicle enters the pre-stage beam. These procedures include, but are not limited to, activating the computer, aligning the vehicle after the burnout, wiping tires, pre-venting fuel from exiting the exhaust and landing on the tire, adjusting the injector/engine, securing the roof hatch, adjusting the wheelie bar, provide instruction to the driver and so on. Once a vehicle has rolled through the stage beams, crew members are prohibited from touching the vehicle or attempting to pull a vehicle back. Non-compliance will result in disqualification from the event and grounds for additional penalties at NHRA’s sole and absolute discretion.
NHRA Starting Line Officials hold ultimate control over the starting line during each race.
