Please remember: your safety equipment must stay in place until you are completely clear of the racing surface and on the return road.
Per Section 2, Page 1 of the 2026 NHRA Rulebook:
"The loosening and removal of seat belts, helmets, gloves, window nets, lifting of helmet shield, and removal of all other safety equipment is prohibited from the time the vehicle leaves the ready line until the vehicle is on the return road."
This rule is in place for your safety. Please stay buckled in, keep your helmet on and secured, and leave all protective clothing on until you’ve safely exited the racing surface.
