Be A Winner, Be A Member program guidelines
Be A Winner, Be A Member rewards NHRA members who win a race at an NHRA member track with prizes from sponsors. All submissions must meet the entry requirements outlined below.

WHEN THE PROGRAM RUNS: Feb. 1 to Oct. 31. Only races won between those dates are eligible.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO ENTER: Full NHRA members who win a bracket racing event at their local track. NHRA O'Reilly Auto Parts Jr. Drag Racing League and NHRA Xplōd Sport Compact memberships are not eligible. A competition license or permanent number alone is not sufficient; must be a current NHRA member as well.

WHICH RACING EVENTS ARE ELIGIBLE: Track-run bracket racing events only. NHRA-scheduled and -operated events are not eligible. Ineligible events include but are not limited to NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, and NHRA Xplōd Sport Compact Racing Series events, as well as National Opens and series run at divisional events. Exhibition and match races, including NHRA Professional categories, jet cars, Pro Mods, etc., are not eligible.

RAINOUTS/OTHER UNCOMPLETED RACES: Only one winner per category per race is allowed. If an event is not completed (due to rain or otherwise) and no single winner is declared, no entries will be accepted.

PRIZE DRAWINGS: Held the second week of the following month.  2006 prize drawing schedule: February/March drawing: April 12; April: May 10; May: June 7; June: July 5; July: August 9; August: September 6; September: October 11; October: November 8.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Entries must include the following (CLICK HERE for an entry form). Entries not meeting these requirements will not be honored:

  • Racer's name (must match name on membership card), address, and phone number
  • Race information: track where racer won event, date of event win, and name of class the racer won.
    NOTE: Only bracket racing events are eligible; NHRA-scheduled and -operated events are not. Ineligible events include but are not limited to NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, and NHRA Xplōd Sport Compact Racing Series events, as well as National Opens and series run at divisional events. Exhibition and match races, including NHRA Professional categories, jet cars, Pro Mods, etc., are not eligible.
  • Proof of NHRA membership; acceptable proof includes:
    - Photocopy of NHRA membership card; must show membership number and expiration date
    - A letter from NHRA Membership Services verifying membership
    - Printout of confirmation page from online membership purchase
    NOTE: Simply writing your membership number on an entry is not sufficient. One of the above forms of proof must accompany the entry. Exception: entries received directly from track; these must have the five- or six-digit membership number - car numbers are not membership numbers.
  • Proof of victory; acceptable proof includes:
    - A printout of race results from the track's website (must clearly show date and track)
    - A copy of a newspaper report (local or track newspaper) listing the racer as an event winner
    - A copy of a check/stub that clearly lists the racer as a winner (must say "winner," "first," or similar )
    IMPORTANT: Time slips will no longer be accepted as proof of victory unless certified by the track as being the final-round slip.

    It is the racer's responsibility to ensure his/her entry meets these requirements. All entries subject to verification.

    WHEN AN ENTRY WILL APPEAR IN ND: Approximately two weeks after it is received at National DRAGSTER. However, if the entry is extremely late and that date has already passed, it will not appear in ND.
