NHRA has named PRC System’s EDR1.0 Event Data Recorder (EDR) and WA1.0 EDR Harness as mandatory equipment for Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Mod categories beginning with the 2013 Mello Yello Drag Racing Season.

The EDR is an electronic device that records accelerometer sensor data at extremely high rates. This data can be used to post analyze unexpected events and build a knowledge database.

NHRA Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Mod teams will be directed to purchase the EDR1.0 Event Data Recorder and WA1.0 harness directly from PRC Systems, LLC at www.prc-systems.com prior to the beginning of the 2013 Mello Yello Drag Racing season.  Items are available now for pre-order and will be ship in mid-December.
